Acne

Acne is a very common skin problem, with consequences that go beyond simply physical. Even when it is simply pimples, instead of the more severe forms like cystic acne, breakouts can affect a person's confidence, sense of well-being, and ability to go out and meet people.

Whilst teen acne is very common, people of all ages can be affected. In fact, it's estimated that 85% of people between the ages of 12 and 24 have suffered some type of acne and 20 to 40% of the adults do encounter problems with acne. In fact, some people are only being paid the first visit in their 40s!

The problems of acne stems from many reasons, which include an overactive sebaceous gland, genetic factors, or lifestyle factors such as stress, excessive dead skin, damage to the skin caused by scratching, and clogging agents trapped on the skin when cosmetics used are not totally cleansed. Acne may also occur as premenstrual flares or due to certain medications such as strong steroid creams.

So an accurate clinical examination, some analysis and instrumental investigations are essential for an effective treatment.

In our clinic besides traditional topical and systemic therapy we carry out some particular technique (utilized in France) which allows to achieve a fast improvement of symptoms and of aesthetic aspect.
